SPH Foundation hosts National Para-Swimming Championships for fifth year

Singapore Press Holdings Foundation (SPH Foundation), together with the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC), hosted the fifth edition of the SPH Foundation National Para-Swimming Championships on 25 May at the OCBC Aquatic Centre.

The event's Guest-of-Honour was Ms Ginney Lim, General Manager, SPH Foundation.

Over 90 para-athletes from 17 special schools, associations and clubs took part in different categories and events based on their disabilities. Paralympians Theresa Goh and Yip Pin Xiu were also present to support the participants.

Ms Lim said: "This is SPH Foundation's fifth year as title sponsor of such a meaningful event. This milestone reaffirms our commitment towards building a healthy community that embraces sports. Participants from past editions have proved that with passion and determination, nothing is unachievable. We hope this high level of participation will continue in years to come."

Dr Teo-Koh Sock Miang, President of Singapore Disability Sports Council, said she was very pleased to be working with the SPH Foundation again this year.

“I would like to sincerely thank my peers at SPH Foundation for supporting us, once again, with their contributions. Their efforts play a large role in shaping the future of para swimming in Singapore.”
