A total of 30 teams will be taking part – 17 from the SIM University (UniSim), eight from the National University of Singapore (NUS), three from the Singapore Management University (SMU) and two from Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

There will be three rounds of the Business Quiz to be held over three Saturdays at the SPH News Centre auditorium – Qualifiers on 14 February, Preliminaries on 7 March and Finals on 14 March respectively.

Qualifiers – This round is made up of 45 random questions from 3 categories of “General Knowledge”, “Headline News” and “Financial World”, and teams have to press the buzzer to answer the questions.
Preliminaries – This round will involve individual team members and the team collectively as they tackle time-based “fastest finger” questions and a case study.
Finals – The 4 finalist teams will play on a board game format where progress is made when teams give the correct answers and complete the stipulated challenges successfully. Teams that default on questions and challenges will be penalised.

Participants stand to win up to $10,000 in cash, prizes and work attachments with financial institutions.
